Suzy's expertise in real estate comes from over 20 years of selling in the Chicago Market. Prior to her real estate career, Suzy enjoyed a successful marketing management career at IBM. She brought the sales skills and professionalism she learned in that corporate environment to her real estate career. Suzy is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A.) and York University (M.B.A.).
Suzy strives to provide quality service to her clients. And she clearly succeeds, as proved by her “Best in the Business” award from the “Quality Service Certified” organization which recognizes the top 250 agents in the nation based on feedback from their clients. This award is given to real estate professionals with an average 30+ annual transactions and a perfect or near perfect record of customer satisfaction (reflected by their independently validated records from client input). Suzy is justifiably very proud of this award and the extraordinary service it represents.
Having lived in many different Chicago neighborhoods, Suzy prides herself on a city-wide knowledge of residential and investment properties. She has participated in a variety of new construction and conversion projects on both the buyer's and seller's sides and has experience working with transferring buyers and sellers. Additionally, Suzy's average marketing time in 2010 was 68 days, with an average sales to list price of 95.4% Those are impressive numbers in a challenging Real Estate market. Suzy also holds the National Association of Realtor's Green Designation.
Suzy\'s personal passion and avocation is working to save the lives of homeless animals. She is the founder of “Realtors to the Rescue of Homeless Animals”, a 501c3 non-for-profit dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals in the Chicagoland area. The organization uses the vast network of Realtors and the website www.realtorstotherescue.com to promote the adoption of homeless animals and to support area animal shelter fundraising and education events. For all of her efforts in this great cause, the Chicago Association of Realtors recently awarded Suzy the Realtor Community Service Award for her outstanding contribution to her community. She is also the recipient of the Rose Fay Thomas award from The Anti-Cruelty Society in recognition of her contributions to saving homeless animals in the city.
Suzy's other interests include golf, gardening, movies, theater and travel.

I would not hesitate to recommend Suzy Thomas to a friend considering a real estate sale or purchase. Selling my brother's Chicago condominium from my home in Washington, DC should have been much more difficult than it was, but Suzy gave spot on advice about the market conditions, best time to list the property, and who to contact for help with repairs, staging, etc. She worked tirelessly, got us offers quickly, helped to ensure we selected the strongest offer, and saw it through to closing (less than 8 weeks from listing date to closing date, including a 1 week extension at buyer's request). Throughout the process Suzy's follow up was excellent and she made sure everyone stayed on track.
Suzy was INCREDIBLE!! I have already recommended her to friends, and will continue to do so until she is no longer a relator. She was unbelievable accommodating, punctual, and professional. If I had questions about the smallest thing, she was quick to answer. She went above and beyond in helping me find the perfect home for my needs, in a neighborhood that I love. She was honest with her professional opinion (on what she believed was a good deal, etc.), but let me be in charge of where I wanted to live, how much I wanted to spend, etc. She pointed out things I would never have thought of without her careful scrutiny. My hairdresser spoke very highly of his Realtor, this woman named Suzy Thomas. I was so impressed by his recommendation that I called her as soon as I left his chair. I made an appointment for Suzy to come to my home. She was so organized, so informative, it was insane! Out of all of the Realtors I interviewed, Suzy was the only one who was prepared, and I was sold. I appreciated the fact that she understood why I didn't want a lock box. She never blinked and thought it was a big deal like the other realtors I interviewed. As time went on I was so thrilled with my decision to choose Suzy.
