Before transitioning into real estate, Rafiq built a distinguished career as a franchise owner with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and Huntington Learning Center, serving Chicagoland families for more than 25 years. In those roles, he honed skills in financial analysis, marketing, compliance, and team leadership. Just as importantly, he learned how to listen closely, anticipate client needs, and help people make confident decisions — qualities that now benefit his Baird & Warner clients.
A graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in Organizational Behavior and Business Leadership, Rafiq furthered his education through Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management Real Estate Finance and Investment program. He has also completed Vanderbilt University’s Agentic AI & AI Agents for Leaders specialization, giving him hands-on expertise in emerging technology. By combining financial acumen with innovative, data-driven tools — including custom AI models he has designed for tax planning and real estate forecasting — Rafiq provides clients with expertise and clarity that extend well beyond the sale.
Raised on the city’s North Side, Rafiq has a lifelong appreciation for Chicago’s remarkable character, diversity, and energy. Passionate about his community, Rafiq is active with the Boy Scouts of America and coaches table tennis and chess, helping young people build confidence and problem-solving skills. Inspired by mentors and his mother’s example of hard work, compassion, and patience, he approaches his personal and professional relationships alike with a commitment to helping others succeed.
