As the daughter of a commercial real estate professional who spent many childhood hours gaining guidance and inspiration in the company of her father, it’s no exaggeration to say that the business is in her blood. But before transitioning to real estate, Kelly Sappington pursued another path and passion. After earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago, Kelly built a successful career as a mental health professional, first as a clinician and then in program development. Kelly credits these years in the mental and behavioral health fields for her exceptional communication skills, her ability to multitask and problem solve, and her collaborative multidisciplinary approach.
As a dedicated professional with a life-long passion for helping others succeed, Kelly’s transition to real estate was a natural step. She connects easily with people, utilizing her exceptional active listening skills to accurately and completely ascertain her clients’ needs. She is a savvy negotiator who understands that integrity and openness are the foundations for a successful relationship. And with a knack for guiding clients through even the most complex transactions, her “can do” attitude gets them across the finish line. With a strong sense of family and community, Kelly understands that a home is so much more than just physical shelter, and she is honored to participate in some of the most important life decisions that her clients will ever make. At the end of the day, securing the right buyer for a seller or seeing clients settled into their dream home is her primary professional objective. As she demonstrated throughout her previous career, Kelly is a lifelong learner dedicated to continually updating her skills and knowledge so that she can better serve her real estate clients.
Kelly is an accomplished baker and the proud parent of two wonderful children. The family loves all the many cultural attractions and enriching activities that Chicago has to offer and when she is not working, you can often find them enjoying the city’s diverse delights – especially its parks, forest preserves and lakefront spaces.
