Jason Cox moved to Chicago from Michigan in 2001 to study Interior Design. After design school he worked for an architect for a year, but fell in love with an atmosphere at the local night-life legend Berlin and wanted to be a part of it. He has been managing the club ever since.
When a realtor friend suggested Jason try the business he jumped at the chance. He feels his previous experience in interior design has given him a crucial attention to detail while his experience in the service industry has given him ability to listen and anticipate peoples' needs - both valuable tools in real estate. Jason loves being able to help people find a place to establish and grow their lives - a home. "My attention to detail and ability to anticipate clients' needs make me a strong agent," he says. "My loyalty, work ethic, knowledge of the city and resourcefulness make me a spectacular one."
During his time in Chicago, Jason has lived on the north east side as well as Lakeview, Andersonville, Albany Park, and Irving Park, but it is Logan Square that Jason calls home. He loves all of these neighborhoods for various reasons, but really appreciates the little shops and great locally owned restaurants and bars in Logan Square "The neighborhood has everything a person could ever need - great public transport, parks, banks, gyms, grocery stores, and eclectic restaurants and bars," he notes.
Jason is also fond of cooking; sculpture; action, art, and nature documentary films; and architecture - particularly the movement of Frank Gehry's work - and he loves keeping up with the latest interior design trends. He enjoys spending time with his family and his friends, as well as exercising and creating things with his hands - he knits and knows how to make soap, which led to him helping launch a local all-natural soap company a couple years ago. Now he has chosen to make Dream Town his professional home, and feels that it's very rewarding to be part of a team of agents who are inspired by finding people the perfect property they are looking for, be it a home or an investment.

The road to buying my new home was a long one. The search lasted approximately 7 months. I was picky about what it had to look like and was on a tight budget. Not exactly a winning combination! Jason was patient with me and made it clear that his main goal was to find me a place I truly loved. We must have seen over a hundred places. He quickly learned what I was looking for and would often know as soon as we walked in that I wouldn't be interested (and he was always right). Jason helped me find several condos I was interested in. I was outbid on three different properties. I had another fall through right before we should have closed. And through it all he was always positive and supportive. One night, while going through one of his daily emails to me, I saw what I knew had to be my home. In less than 12 hours, Jason managed to convince the sellers agent to get me in for a showing before I went out of town that day. With his expertise, he helped me put together an offer that they couldn't refuse! Buying a home is an exciting process. No one tells you that it can also be a very anxious and emotional time. Jason cared as much about finding me the perfect home as I did. He always had my best interests in mind and went above and beyond. I would recommend Jason in a heartbeat. And when I'm ready to move on, buy a bigger place and rent this condo out...he will be the first person I call.
