Growing up in Lincoln Park and Old Town, Amy is a native Chicagoan who entered real estate in 2004 following a successful career in project management for a Fortune 500 company. After purchasing her first home in the Ukrainian Village, she immediately knew beginning a rewarding career in real estate was for her. She incorporates her experience, integrity and negotiating skills to help you with this important life event. Amy has successfully closed over 100 transactions ranging from 1 bedroom condominiums to luxurious custom homes throughout Chicago and its’ surrounding suburbs. Her sales are approaching $50 million and her clients have awarded her the Five Star Agent certification, as seen in Chicago magazine, year after year.
Amy knows finding and purchasing a home is one of the most important financial decisions individuals make in their life. She understands whether you are a first-time homebuyer or seasoned buyer and seller the process can be overwhelming and stressful. In addition to Lincoln Park, Amy has lived in Old Town, Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, Old Irving Park, Evanston, and Wilmette. Amy currently resides on the NW side of the city in Edgebrook with her husband and two children. When she is not selling real estate, Amy enjoys home design consulting, volunteering and fundraising at her children’s schools, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Amy was an absolute delight to work with! She was so patient with us as we found our first home. I think Amy and I looked at well over 30 properties (some more than twice!) before we landed on our condo in Old Town. Amy's energy and enthusiasm through the whole process was infectious - spending the day looking at possible homes was a blast, and once we found our perfect spot she was so clear and speedy with the whole process. She even followed up with a wonderful gift basket of treats and champagne. I recommend Amy highly!

I moved from Chicago in 2013 and used Amy Oetter to help me find renters for my Albany Park condo. She made the process simple and easy, and seeing as I now lived 5 hours away, she went above and beyond what I would consider normal duties for a real estate agent. When those renters moved to Florida two years later, I again used Amy to find my second set of renters. Finally in the spring of 2017, when the housing market had bounced back enough, I decided to sell the condo, and Amy found me buyers within a weekâ?¦ at list price. There were a few odd details concerning my buildingâ??s management company, but Amyâ??s experience and close attention to detail helped me navigate though those issues and close the sale.
