Mark is truly excellent, we are so glad we found him! He listens intently and asks questions to truly understand your priorities. Heâ??s got great experience throughout Chicago, shares great insights about Neighborhoods, and does the research when he doesnâ??t know something. He represented us both buying (sight unseen!) and selling, my wife and I would recommend Mark to anyone we know!

I could not have sold and bought homes (twice in the last 2 years) without Mark and the last time was at the very beginning of the current pandemic. He is one of the most knowledgeable, professional, ethical, passionate, engaging, hilarious and self-motivated people that I know. I was pretty nervous putting my condo on the market the week before COVID-19 became apparent. However, I have always trusted him completely, so I followed his lead and relied on his expert judgment. We persevered and sold it at above listing. During the showings, he was tenacious and protective wiping down every surface, making sure masks were being worn and generally going above and beyond all necessary precautions. Mark helped make a challenging process of selling our home in Chicago, while we live in North Carolina possible. His attention to our needs and desires, really listening and understanding what our situation was and giving us helpful advice and encouragement made all of the difference in our home selling experience. I can enthusiastically recommend Mark Watkins. In the spring of 2017, I needed to sell my mother's home in the Northwest side of Chicago. Mark, with his partner Joe Summerville, listed the house, and I was very happy with how the sale went. When I began interviewing potential real estate agents, almost all wanted to list the house for a low price, about the value of the lot, and sell it quickly, most likely to someone who would flip the house. Although the house is over 100 years old and had some deferred maintenance, Mark and Joe wanted to list it at a fair-market price. Mark did a great job marketing the house on line and showing it. He put together a virtual tour and was present anytime the house was being shown. Because of Mark's efforts, the house ended up selling for $23,000 more than the asking price. The final price was $70,000 to $100,000 more than what other agents had suggested listing the house. Mark was a great help throughout the sale. He was easy to contact and always able to meet me when needed. In a pinch, he even helped me move a dresser. I was impressed by his honesty and willingness to work hard to make the sale a success.

Could not of asked for a more professional realtor. Mark was always on top of anything that came our way through the whole process. We never felt anxious about selling our property even when a few problems, from the buyers end, came up. From helping you getting your property ready to sell to showing the property to closing the deal you could not find a better realtor!!!

Mark was great. He found a buyer quickly and dealt with a somewhat truculent management company to get all inspections and adjustments completed. We were not living in the building and one of us wasn't even living in the country and Mark kept everything on track, even closing earlier than the original contract.

Most agents are all personality and NO substance, but Mark is the full package with honesty, integrity and knowledge. What really sets Mark apart from other agents is his knowledge of home construction in the Chicago market. Even before the inspectors begin, Mark can evaluate the positive and negative aspects of the property and he find details that most sellers/buyers and even most agents overlook, whether it's his oberservations on the structural integrity of the building, plumbing, HVAC, signs of water damage, etc, Mark leaves no stone unturned when making sure the property is in top shape for his clients. Overall, Mark is a pleasure to work with and my personal satification, as well as Four other friends of mine that have purchased and sold multiple properties with Mark as their agent is a true testament to his abilities.
