How Lake Ellyn Was Saved 

After the Glen Ellyn Hotel fire of 1906, the Glen Ellyn Hotel & Springs Co. sought to develop Lake Ellyn into a residential community. Join local historian Ron Aubrey as he shares the story of the 14-year effort that finally succeeded in saving Lake Ellyn Park.

Historic Walking Tour in Riverside

Join the Olmstead Society of Riverside for one of their Historic Walking Tours to experience the village’s beauty and history.

Catch Jason Alexander On Stage 

Emmy Award-winner Jason Alexander makes his Chicago stage debut in Judgment Day, a hilarious, irreverent comedy written by award-winning TV screenwriter Rob Ulin. Memorial Day Ceremony & Parade 

Chicago’s Memorial Day Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. This year’s Parade Grand Marshal, Rear Admiral Zeita Merchant, U.S. Coast Guard, was born in Chicago and is the first African American woman promoted to flag rank in U.S. Coast Guard history.
