The Timeless Joys of a Summer Fair

With rides, games, live music, food, beer and wine, Northbrook Days is a community event that captures all the fun and excitement of a classic carnival. Evening headliners include high-energy 80’s music from the band “The Breakfast Club” and the Chicago-based U2 tribute band, “Without U2.”

Dive In With Tom Hanks

Enjoy the iconic 1988 Tom Hanks film BIG at the Devonshire Aquatic Center. Take a refreshing dip or go for a swim—and follow the adventures of 12-year-old Josh Baskin after a wish turns him into a 30-year-old man who finds surprising career success at the MacMillan Toy Company.

Check Out A Unique Arts Fair

This unique market may take place in a garage, but it’s like no other garage sale you’ve seen! Outdoors in a covered parking garage, the Maker’s Market allows you to meet, chat, and buy direct from dozens of artists, artisans, and makers. You’ll find ceramics, jewelry, artwork and other one-of-a-kind items.

That’s Not All Sondheim Wrote…

Featuring the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and internationally renowned vocalists, this concert of Sondheim classics and favorites is presented with a twist: Tying the songs together are excerpts from some of the letters that the composer wrote to world-famous performers, up-and-coming composers, and even school kids.

Four Nights. Four Amazing Concerts.

Go once, or go four times- you can’t go wrong at this year’s Out of Space concert series at the Canal Shores Golf Course. Jenny Lewis and Trampled by Turtles will get things started on Thursday followed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters on Friday, Lucinda Williams on Saturday, and Buddy Guy closing the series on Sunday.
