Dwyane WadeNBA star and Chicago divorce court regular Dwayne Wade has put his River West townhouse on the market. The three-time NBA champion who grew up in and around Chicago listed the property for $1.8 million according to Curbed Chicago.

Wade purchased the Kinzie Park townhome, built in 2000, for around $1.43 million in 2009. The property features four bedrooms, three and a half baths, a custom open kitchen featuring a wine cooler and a wet bar, hardwood and marble floors, a fireplace and 3,900 square feet to practice crossovers although there is no mention of a hoop anywhere in the home.

That shouldn’t be a major issue as the East Bank Club is located just a hop, skip and a long jump across the Chicago River from the townhouse at 433 N. Canal.

The Miami Heat guard has three championship rings with the team, one he got alongside Shaq and two playing Robin to LeBron James’ Batman after James came to the team in 2010. The nine-time NBA All-Star is currently dating actress Gabrielle Union while battling it out in the Chicago courts over custody of his children with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches.

With little to no chance of Wade donning a Chicago Bulls uniform to play alongside Derrick Rose anytime soon and so much turmoil in his Chicago-based life, it’s no wonder the future Hall of Famers wants to spend more time in the Miami sun.

If you can afford the asking price and the $916 per month association fees, this is a quite the swanky place to reside in Chicago although there is no guarantee that your basketball skills will improve nor is it very likely Gabrielle Union will come knocking on your door. But hey, it’s got a whirlpool and your dog and cat are welcome.
