5 Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend

Although the summer is approaching wind down mode, there are plenty of cool things to do this weekend in Chicago. Meet some of most recognized faces in comics, film and television at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con. Take part in a 5k with 12 crazy obstacle courses that may make you the next YouTube star at the Epic Fail Challenge 5K.The Bucktown Arts Festival returns for its 29th year with art, music, poetry and dance presentations. Check out over a dozen mobile eateries and stick around for the live music, including a set by The Sea and Cake, at the Chicago Food Social at Kendall College. The 11th annual Bash on Wabash brings tons of vendors, arts and crafts, live music and plenty of activities for the kids.

The art fest returns for its 29th annual gathering featuring art, poetry, music, theater and dance with over 200 participants showing their creative work. One of the country’s premier art fests, proceeds go towards arts and education programs in Bucktown.
