5 Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend
We are deep in festival season here in Chicago and this weekend will host some of the biggest parties all year. Check out the largest Latino fest in the Midwest at the Fiesta del Sol festival in Pilsen featuring DJs, plenty of food, local art and a 5k race. Grant Park hosts the city’s largest music fest as Lollapalooza arrives this weekend with dozens of live acts including Eminem, Kings of Leon and Skrillex. Taste different pairings of beer and BBQ at the Old Irving Park Beer & BBQ Challenge where 10 cooks and local brewers rely on you to judge who serves up the best combo. The Wrigleyville Summerfest returns this weekend featuring plenty of live acts, food and family fun. The football season hasn’t started yet, but you can check out the Chicago Bears practice at Soldier Field and hope the defense is in better shape than it was last year.
