5 Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend

This weekend sees Chicago going in full-on fest mode with neighborhood celebrations taking place throughout the city. Head over to the Wicker Park Fest where tons of live acts including Laura Stevenson, Owls and Reverend Horton Heat will play in addition to arts and crafts, food vendors and a Kids Fest. The Taste of Lincoln Avenue celebrates thirty-one years with a six block fest featuring over 250 vendors, a carnival for kids and numerous live acts throughout the weekend. Navy Pier hosts the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp where hundreds of Midwest craft brewers will have samples on hand to enjoy. If the festival scene is not your thing, check out the Newberry Library Book Fair where tons of used books will be on hand. You might even find a book signed by President Obama.
