5 Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend
Labor Day is almost here and while summer is nearing its end, there is no reason to shed tears of sorrow this weekend. The Chicago Jazz Fest returns to Millennium Park featuring Sun Ra Arkestra and Ravi Coltrane among many other local and national jazz cats. The North Coast Music Festival takes place at Union Park with headliners Snoop Dogg and Kid Cudi. Head over to Jefferson Park for the annual Taste of Polonia fest featuring plenty of food and live acts as well as arcades and a Kid’s Zone. Remix Chicago, the city’s annual recycled arts fair, returns to Logan Square this year with plenty of cool workshops, repurposed crafts, live music and food all helping a great cause. Finally, give your funny bone a checkup at the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival featuring Louis C.K. and Sarah Silverman among many others.
Chicago Jazz Festival
The Chicago Jazz Fest returns to Millennium Park to celebrate its 36th year with a stellar cast of local and national jazz greats including Sun Ra Arkestra, Kevin Eubanks and Ravi Coltrane.

North Coast Music Festival
Union Park will host the 5th annual North Coast Music Festival featuring headliners Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi and STS9 among many others. Smaller than Lollapalooza and Pitchfork, this fest features a heavy mix of EDM, rap and jam bands.

Taste of Polonia
The Copernicus Center in Jefferson Park will host this annual festival celebrating all things Polish with plenty of polka and pierogies as well as four stages featuring 37 live bands including Squeezebox, American English and the Chicago Image Polka Band.

Chicago’s recycled art fair returns to Logan Square this year. Repurposed crafts, workshops, music and food will be on hand as well as informative workshops. Proceeds go towards the construction of a sustainable playground for the Goethe School.

Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival
The biggest comedy show of the year touches down this weekend with headliners Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman among many others. This smorgasbord of great comedians may never be together on a bill like this again.
