Experience the best of local and national indie musical acts at various venues in the city. The Tomorrow Never Knows Festival returns with performances at Schubas, Lincoln Hall, Metro, SmartBar and others. Chicago’s premier winter music festival takes place over five days and gives adventurous concertgoers a taste of underground and rising acts, making TNK a one-of-a-kind Chicago event.

This year’s Chicago Cubs Convention offers a great opportunity for fans to celebrate the 2016 World Series champs! The World Series Trophy will be on display and will be available for fan photos, and fans of all ages can meet the players, Cubs alumni, coaching staff and team executives.

The Midwest chapter of the Australian New Zealand American Chamber of Commerce is celebrating Australia Day and Waitangi Day with a cocktail reception, followed by a seated dinner and live performance by special guest James Morrison and the James Morrison Academy Jazz Orchestra (JMAJO). Other highlights include the Australia-US Midwest Awards for Outstanding Achievement, a raffle draw, business networking, a DJ, and dancing!

Enjoy a program of works from early masters—English composer William Boyce, and two titans of the classical era, Haydn and Mozart, performed by the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra. Haydn’s six Paris Symphonies, Boyce’s Symphony No. 2 for King George II, and many other joyous pieces will be performed, with a free pre-concert lecture given by lecturer Jim Kendros.
