Michelle brings a vast and colorful array of professional and artistic experience with her to Dream Town Realty. She is a happy 10-year resident of our fair city (currently Wicker Park). Prior to becoming a Realtor, she represented clients as an attorney and also served as the marketing director for a nonprofit music and cultural center. Her goal is to make you happy – to ensure that your real estate experience is as exciting and fun (and as painless and worry-free) as possible.
Having worked as a litigator for several years, Michelle is especially familiar with the intricacies of the negotiation process. She appreciates the importance of timely communication, exhaustive research, constant accessibility, and complete loyalty to a client’s interests and goals.
As a marketing director (for one of Chicago’s most beloved nonprofit venues, HotHouse), Michelle honed her sales and communication skills and gained significant expertise by handling the majority of all communications between the organization and both the general public and a wide variety of show-specific markets to promote more than thirty shows each month (featuring artists of various genres from all over the globe, including Romania, Argentina, the Ivory Coast, Poland, Peru, Morocco, South Africa, Italy, and our very own Chicago).
When she is not in the office, out viewing properties with clients, or in the thick of negotiating a deal, Michelle also occasionally writes for a local monthly music magazine, plays drums and paints, and is an adjunct professor at Chicago’s East-West University where she teaches a course in composition, research, and communication.
Michelle earned a B.A. in English Literature from Butler University and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”
– Henry David Thoreau

From the moment I started looking for a new place in Chicago, Michelle (who is also my sister) was very involved and helpful -- and I had to begin my search via computer in another city since I was relocating to Chicago. By the time I came into Chicago for ONE DAY ONLY to look at properties, we had narrowed my search to include a list of only 10 or so according to my criteria (proximity to my office, uniqueness and historical significance of property, architectural beauty, neighborhood, best investment, etc.). She assisted me immensely with choosing the property I bought (there is no way I could have purchased a property without the assistance of her block-by-block knowledge of the many niches of Chicago's vast communities and buildings), with making my offer, negotiating my deal, securing my mortgage, the inspection, the appraisal, attorney review -- everything. I couldn't be happier with my new place . . . and I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with the knowledge and service Michelle brings to the table as a real estate agent.
