Mason is fantastic. He works extremely hard to answer all of your questions and help you every step of the way. He will also bend over backwards to accommodate viewings, open houses, phone calls, whatever it is you need. Mason will never push you into anything you don't feel comfortable with and he has tremendous patience. You won't ever feel like your importance to him as a client is based on the amount of money you are planning on spending. I feel that there isn't enough positive feedback in the world, so I wanted to
reach out to tell you what a pleasure it was to recently work with Mason Barnes to
purchase our new condo. While I am not an aggressive client, I'm certainly not
low-maintenance. As soon as we got the mortgage approval, I was hoping to move
quickly to get into a new place. However, we felt like we needed to thoroughly vet
all possibilities with so many great values on the market. Though we could sense
what we wanted, it wasn't very specific to one type of property or neighborhood, so
I thought it would be difficult to convey our wants to Mason. It wasn't difficult
at all. Not only did Mason set us up to see about thirty or more properties (at my
request), but he was also immeasurably helpful in showing us the difference in
quality and value between each property. By the second week, we had a clear
front-runner, but we still needed the reassurance that there wasn't
"something better" sitting on the market. This created some anxiety, as we wanted
to see as many properties as possible while hoping that our top choice would not go
under contract. Mason took a lot of time out of his schedule to take us to see
properties after work, as well as full days on the weekend, so that we could see as
many on our list in as short time as possible. Everything managed to work out
perfectly, and we ended up buying the front-runner from our second week of viewing
properties. I can't imagine the regret I would have if we missed this condo. This
is my second property purchase in Chicago. For my first go-around, I used a realtor
at Coldwell Banker that was randomly assigned to me through an inquiry that I
made to the website. Through that process, I thought my realtor did a pretty good
job. He sent me MLS listings, setup a few appointments, and walked me through my
first real estate purchase. However, I never felt 100% sure that I was making the
right decision. After working with Mason, I realize that I didn't have a very good
realtor for my first purchase. He exceeded any expectations I had of what a
realtor can do for me. It felt like Mason cared about our purchase as much as we
did. Whether it was the small details of pointing out a street light that would
be endlessly glaring from a potential front window, recommending amazing
inspectors and mortgage lenders, or negotiating the purchase price that I
passionately wanted, he did it all. He changed my perception of realtors in
general, and I would highly recommend Dreamtown to any of my friends or family. We
have been living in our new home for over a month, and I still get excited to
come home every day. As cliche as it sounds, he found us the perfect home.
