As a native Chicagoan who has lived in various Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs, Maria joined Dream Town as a residential specialist. In this role, she represents clients in both buying and selling properties in many established and emerging Chicago neighborhoods.

Prior to joining Dream Town, Maria’s background includes customer service and communication within the airline industry and catering services, as well as public relations and radio production. Committed to real estate as her full–time profession, she is dedicated to being a “knowledge expert” in all facets of the real estate business. This knowledge enables her to advance her clients’ welfare as her number 1 priority. Her passion to both meet client needs and advocate their interests have always been at the forefront of her professionalism.

Maria graduated from Northwestern University with a Master of Science degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History.

  I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful real estate agent, Maria Grubisich. I remember the first time I spoke to Maria about finding a house and selling my condo. Just the thought of doing both at the same time was stressing me out. But when I talked with Maria, she put my mind at ease and made the whole thing sound very possible. During the first few days, Maria showed me many single family homes. I think what she was trying to do was to figure out my taste and what I was looking for. I never felt pressured to sign a contract or make a hasty decision. I have worked with many agents in the past and usually somewhere along a very quick time the pressure starts and the agent expects the buyer to make a decision. This never occurred between me and Maria and it looked like that we were just getting started. Then one day she showed me a house on Ashland and as we both walked in she noticed the glitter in my eyes. That is when she knew that we found the place that I was looking for. From then on Maria worked diligently to make sure that this is the right place for me. Until I made it clear that I want this place she never assumed to stop looking for any other homes for sale. Maria worked very hard with the selling agent, my lawyer and even with my lender. I truly felt that she is looking for my best interest at all times. It was around this time that we put my condo on the market. She worked with me and gave subtle hints about what I need to do to increase the value of the condo. Even if there were some necessary changes that need to happen with the condo she was always delicate and sensitive about how to convince me. With the slow market that we are having at this time it took only 10 weeks to find a suitable buyer. There was only one minor price adjustment that Maria felt important to that we should do and a week later we had a buyer that wanted the condo for exactly the price I was asking for.
  
  I must say that within 3 months I bought my dream house and sold my condo. If I were told last year that this would be happening in 2006 I would not believe it. I am thoroughly impressed with Maria and her professionalism. She brings high quality work, dignity and a large and kind human side to the table. She fulfilled my expectations to the highest degree. If I were to buy or sell another property I know without a doubt that I would call her.
