Dave's management background in the hospitality industry is where he learned firsthand about providing excellent service. He has carried that experience with him to Dream Town and has molded the principles of his hospitality roots into his everyday philosophy.

Dave has lived, owned property, and worked in many different Chicago neighborhoods, so his familiarity of the City is unrivaled. He graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business. Dave also earned his commercial, multi-engine pilot certification while attending school. His attention to detail, knowledge of the City, customer advocacy, experience, and civic participation make Dave an exceptional agent who goes above and beyond for his clients each and every day.

  • I have heard so many horror stories about realtors who did not follow through, were not aggressive enough, and most importantly, were bad advisors. I could not have been more pleased with Dave Plotkin and my experience buying my first place. Whenever we would look at a unit, I would immediately start decorating in my mind, imagining what color I would paint the walls, how I would arrange the furniture, and where my art would go. Dave was always my voice of reason. He pointed out imperfections in places I would never have thought to look.   • In December 2009, we attempted to purchase a home that was listed as a Short Sale with hopes of being in the home by May 2010. May came and went as did June. At that point we began working with Dave and he was more than we could ask for. There were gimmicks or games and he analyzed each home as if it were he was making the purchase. Additionally, he was a very effective liaison between the mortgage company, lawyers and other realtor. I felt confident and at ease using Dave, and we would do it again.
