My wife and I have been traveling to Chicago for the past few years and have truly been taken with the City and its people. When we recently paid off our house in Texas and started thinking about buying a condo, we naturally chose Chicago as the location. We wanted to be in or near downtown since that was the area that we knew best. Except that downtown real estate is just that, downtown real estate. So we pared back our expectations and, on our own, started looking at other areas of the City.
Our internet searches kept pulling up Dream Town Realty, and the first realtor that offered assistance was Larisa Pevtsova. Her friendly, enthusiastic, and prompt response to our questions quickly convinced us to put our trust in her. That was a good decision.
Now we are not what you would call real estate savvy people, nor was our $150,000 budget in the eye popping, big fee category. You would never have known it with Larisa. From the start, she was patient with us when we didnt understand things. She always made us feel that our real estate transaction was as important to her as her larger clients. That alone meant the most to us.
In addition to her good bedside manner , and her naturally gregarious nature, she doggedly pursued and gathered information on our behalf, asking a question in as many ways as was necessary so that she herself understood and could then properly explain it to us. She was there with us and for us every step of the way.
By the way, we ended up buying a condo near downtown after all, and treated Larisa to a steak dinner the night after we closed. That she will be our agent again is a forgone conclusion.
We would recommend Larisa to anyone wanting the finest professional guidance.

I met my Dreamtown agent, Pam, as the result of a search of property listings on the internet. I had been renting, but the building was sold, and all the tenants were told that they had till January 31 to move out, so I was in a bit of a hurry, not wanting to move in mid-winter. All of this prodded me to look for a condo to buy, which I had been procrastinating about for some time. I hadnt made any specific request while viewing the web listings to be contacted, but Pam got back to me the very next day offering to be of help. From then on everything moved quickly and amazingly smoothly. Within a day she had sent me a group of listings tailored to my list of requests, and I quickly found about 5 or 6 listings that sounded like they were just what I was looking for. Every listing she sent met my basic criteria, which I really appreciated. In one whirlwind evening we saw the listings I was most interested in, and I liked one of them so much that I made an offer on it, and we were on our way to the ultimate purchase of that unit. Every step of the way Pam was helpful and informative, went over every line of the offer contract with me before I signed it, and gave good advice on what to offer and where to go next in the negotiations. It must have been good advice, because her suggestions were always just what I was thinking at the time. We were very much in sync, and she was there every step of the way to closing. If the rest of the staff at Dreamtown are as good as Pam, it must be the best real estate agency in the city!

My husband and I are from Scotland and recently we purchased our first home here in the US.

Not only was Erika personable and knowledgeable about the whole condo buying process, it was very evident that she truly wanted to find the RIGHT property for me, one that was a good fit and I would be happy in. We looked East, West, North, South, High and Low&just because I wanted to be sure I was in a neighborhood and place that I wanted. The bedrooms in my price point were too small in Wicker Park. In the south loop I could only afford a one bedroom when a two bedroom was what I wanted. She was patient and was eager to go out again and again, showing me place after place. We chose the Dream Town website because it was a great way to review the market for condos, but we had no idea how indispensable Mark Miles would turn out to be! I came across Chad Vanags purely by coincidence when I was doing research about lofts in Chicago from my then current home in Abilene, Texas. Chadā¬"s picture and contact information just happened to be attached to the loft I had as number one on my list. This was nothing short of a miracle for me and my husband, John, because Chad turned out to be amazing at his job, full of useful information about the new city we were moving to, and ultimately became a friend. How many people looking for a new home get all of that?
I spoke to Chad on the phone and by email numerous times before our initial house hunting trip to Chicago. I had new questions and concerns nearly every day and Chad was so kind and timely with his answers. I never had to wait more than a few hours before he responded with my answers and usually provided additional related information. Chad also seemed to have a real grasp of what my husband and I were looking for from our phone conversations.
Armed with a notebook full of MLS listings that I had carefully highlighted and painstakingly considered I met Chad for the first time when he picked me up outside my hotel. My first reaction was to think how young he was and in the back of my mind worry a little bit about his lack of experience. How silly that was! Chad and I whizzed around the city racing from one property to another. This may sound like a bad thing, but I assure you it was not. My husband and I knew EXACTLY what we did and didnā¬"t like and it was very easy for me to determine quickly if we liked it. At this pace we were able to cram in 10-12 properties each day maximizing my time and my trip to Chicago. So much so, that my husband and I decided to make an offer on a loft in the West Loop. This is when Chad really went from being our Realtor to our advocate!
Little did we know that the sellers and the sellerā¬"s agent where going to be completely difficult and unyielding in the negotiation process. Chad went to bat for us over and over again. And it was a real battle from beginning to end. The seller and his agent made each and every step as miserable as I believe anyone could, but Chad was there each time puffing out his chest on our behalf. At the walk through there were numerous issues with the property which had been agreed to but had not been addressed. John and I trusted Chad so much by that time that we asked him to do the final walk through the morning of the closing because of the ridiculous hour that it was scheduled for with the full confidence that if he thought it was okay that it would be. And it was!

Misha was a pleasure to work with! As a relocation person, I had no idea where I wanted to live other than close to my office. Misha offered up great suggestions of areas that she felt would be a good fit based on my expectations, personality, social requirements, etc. She not only knows the real estate market but she made the house-hunting process fun at the same time. I felt like she was a good friend and I found her enthusiasm infectious! In addition, my closing was a breeze too and handled very efficiently thanks to her excellent contacts.
