When I started house hunting I had no idea what I was getting into or who to trust with this important decision. I did an internet search and happened to find your website for Dream Town. There were some properties that I was interested in and through your website was able to express my interest in a showing and was connected to Mrs. McGriff. I have been so very pleased with her services to us. She is professional, patient, and always tried to anticipate what we were looking for in a home. I appreciate the fact that she always left the decision to us. We went to see some not so nice properties and she never made it seem like it was a chore. She presented any property with a highlight of the good points and made suggestions whenever her opinion was requested. She also helped with referrals to service partners and just made this first time experience one in which we could be confident. It has been our privilege to have been served by your agent, Pam Plotkin, during our recent condominium purchase. I initially encountered Pam on a Sunday afternoon telephone cold call to your office in response to one of your firm's listings. She made an immediately favorable impression and was eager to help, offering to expeditiously do a market search based on my parameters. She described neighborhoods and provided market valuation trends that I solicited from her so that I could ensure that my location selection was indeed consistent with not only my needs, but also that of my daughter, a University of Chicago student, for whom I was purchasing the condo. Not ever having spent much time in Chicago, I needed her to be my eyes and ears and she served that purpose skillfully. She was highly knowledgeable, returned emails and phone calls promptly, always had a positive attitude, and allocated all the time we needed in researching then making this all important decision. Pam did not push her opinions on us, was well acquainted with the market and able to provide answers to our most pressing questions. Pam was not only a competent real estate resource in finding property sites to view, but also was keenly attentive to my time constraints such that she was highly organized with viewings back to back on the single day I had to visit them when I traveled to Chicago from my home in Kentucky.
I am a very demanding consumer who expects superior service from those I retain. In this instance, I could not have asked for more. Pam is a competent and hard worker with an engaging personality who is a pleasure to deal with. She is indeed a valuable asset to your company. My wife and I recently purchased a property in the Lakeview neighborhood after looking for almost two years. Yogi Yedlin was our agent during this time and we could not have been happier throughout the process with him. There are a number of reasons why we feel this way and would like to share them with you.
Both my wife and I owned condominiums in the Lakeview neighborhood and were looking to upgrade to more space since we just got married. With the advent of a lot of new websites in the real estate market the process of finding a new agent came to us this time instead of us having to look for one. Of all the websites that we looked at, DreamTown.com was one of the best out there for looking for a home in our opinion. On one particular day we had made two appointments with two different agents out of frustration. Our second appointment that day turned out much better than we anticipated. This second appointment was with Yogi.
Within the first couple minutes of talking with Yogi I knew that he was different than all the previous agents we had worked with. We truly appreciated this attention to detail as it really gave us a new perspective on how to look for a home.
Another trait of Yogis that became evident over time was patience. We were very close to making a decision and Yogi did not pressure us, but gave us a list of things to think about that were important. At this point we told Yogi that we would get back to him in a couple months as we were putting out search on hold. A few months later we were back out searching for properties. This time we had a different set of criteria.
This is where I have no idea how Yogi kept his patience. We decided that we could move to the next property level by brining my wifes sister and husband in the mix. On top of that, since their family is close knit, Yogi now had to deal with six people as my wifes parents were now coming along to look at properties.
After a couple months we put an offer in on a place. However, everything fell apart prior to coming to a decision about the place. We had an inspection which Yogi came to and helped us through which was great. In the end, after many negotiations and discussions this deal fell through.
We were determined to not strike out with our third attempt. This time my wifes sister was out of the picture and it was back to just the two of us and again the criteria changed. In the end, we found the place that suits us best and we could not be happier. Yogi did a great job of meeting our expectations and working with us to get the best purchase price. After having lived in our home for a few months we could not be happier. All the credit goes to Yogi for this because it was his professionalism, patience and understanding of our changing needs that made this a very pleasant experience. My wife and I kept changing the rules of the game along the way and Yogi stepped up each time with a great attitude and a willingness to work with us that I wish I could find in other professional aspects of my life. My wife and I would (and will) happily recommend Yogi in the future to anyone we know looking to buy and sell a home.

In April 2007, we purchased our Old Town condo through Jill Hare. We met Jill almost inadvertently -- the agent we were working with was not overly responsive, so we were looking for properties online on our own. On a Sunday night at 10:30 p.m., Jill was the agent who responded immediately to our online inquiry as to whether a certain property (the one we ultimately purchased), had outdoor space. She not only arranged for us to see the property THE NEXT MORNING, but we were able to see other properties on the same street at the same time that she recommended.
