I was just browsing around the Dream Town website and I signed up so I could talk to someone. Jill emailed me within 12 hours of me submitting my request. I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful real estate agent, Maria Grubisich. I remember the first time I spoke to Maria about finding a house and selling my condo. Just the thought of doing both at the same time was stressing me out. But when I talked with Maria, she put my mind at ease and made the whole thing sound very possible. During the first few days, Maria showed me many single family homes. I think what she was trying to do was to figure out my taste and what I was looking for. I never felt pressured to sign a contract or make a hasty decision. I have worked with many agents in the past and usually somewhere along a very quick time the pressure starts and the agent expects the buyer to make a decision. This never occurred between me and Maria and it looked like that we were just getting started. Then one day she showed me a house on Ashland and as we both walked in she noticed the glitter in my eyes. That is when she knew that we found the place that I was looking for. From then on Maria worked diligently to make sure that this is the right place for me. Until I made it clear that I want this place she never assumed to stop looking for any other homes for sale. Maria worked very hard with the selling agent, my lawyer and even with my lender. I truly felt that she is looking for my best interest at all times. It was around this time that we put my condo on the market. She worked with me and gave subtle hints about what I need to do to increase the value of the condo. Even if there were some necessary changes that need to happen with the condo she was always delicate and sensitive about how to convince me. With the slow market that we are having at this time it took only 10 weeks to find a suitable buyer. There was only one minor price adjustment that Maria felt important to that we should do and a week later we had a buyer that wanted the condo for exactly the price I was asking for.
I must say that within 3 months I bought my dream house and sold my condo. If I were told last year that this would be happening in 2006 I would not believe it. I am thoroughly impressed with Maria and her professionalism. She brings high quality work, dignity and a large and kind human side to the table. She fulfilled my expectations to the highest degree. If I were to buy or sell another property I know without a doubt that I would call her.

In 2005, through Mark Miless efforts, I became a homeowner for the very first time. After renting all of my life, I decided that it was time to actually own and put a little equity into my life.
Id found Mark Miles through a website I was searching on. Id been looking for a condo in the Downtown Chicago Area. I previously lived in Presidential Towers, and had become very accustomed to walking to work! The trick was, could something be found in the Downtown Area within my price range? Or, more accurately, within the price range that the bank had defined it?
Mark began by showing me properties within the South Loop. We looked at Dearborn Park and River City. I settled on a unit in River City, because it was closest to work, had a nice kitchen, and was closest to the CTA and Metra (I gave up the car when I moved Downtown).
Mark took me thru every step of the way. He was very understanding that this was my first time as a buyer and, because of that, I was unfamiliar with the procedures. When a problem occurred because the bank would not release the money until after the closing date, Mark helped negotiate a deal with the previous owner that allowed me to move in anyway (I already had the movers scheduled, arranged the day off from work. My attorney called Mark A bright young man who will have a terrific future in real estate.
Now, according to another family member who knows my attorney, thats praise indeed! Should my needs change in a couple of years, I will call Mark Miles again!

My recent purchase of a condominium was not my first real estate purchase, not by a long shot, so I came to Mark with a real "been there, done that" attitude. I was also very busy settling into my new job in downtown Chicago, so my schedule was very tight and my demands, well, very demanding.
