I also am a transplant to the area so have no family here or long time contacts to fall back on for advice. Once I made the decision to start the process I spoke to Misha. Immediately my fears and misgivings were put to rest. She led me through the process putting me totally at ease. The first major help was referring me to a mortgage company. The people she suggested were wonderful. They couldn't say enough good about Misha and they treated me like family. They were attentive, focused and helpful. They suggested things for me to do and followed up on every question and concern. While that process was taking place Misha started on her end. At first we just did an online search so that I could get familiar with the market and try to decide what I really wanted. Once I was ready to start really looking Misha was always willing to work around my sometimes crazy schedule to show me things that I wanted to see. Based on these she would choose some additional homes to see also. I can't even express how helpful she was. No question was too ridiculous and she never made me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. If I thought I wanted to see something that she thought might not be all it sounded to be, she'd still be willing to go, but would explain to me the concerns she had and why. Of course, every time she was right. She never pressured me to see anything or to make a decision to quickly. When we finally found the home I wanted she helped me to ask all the right questions so that I was confident in my decision. Again, without any experience with this and no local contacts, Misha came to the rescue. She was able to suggest several attorneys and home inspectors from which to choose. She was with me every step of the way. When negotiations began she was relentless in her efforts on my behalf and helped me to know what to ask and to counter. At the closing she celebrated with me. I could not have done this without Misha nor would I ever want to. I always knew that everything she was doing was in my best interest and she really wanted to help me find my perfect home. Even now, if something comes up and I need something done with the house, I know I can call Misha and with confidence know she will refer me to someone I can trust. Misha goes above and beyond what her job is. She goes out of her way to make her clients feel at ease, confident in their decisions and beyond happy with, not their house, but their new homes.

I first encountered Dreamtown when I began my search for a condo to purchase. I googled "Chicago real estate" and one of the first listings was Dreamtown. I found the website very user friendly and informative. I found an enormous variety of condo listings that fit my criteria. When I narrowed my search, all I had to do was submit a request for more information. I was immediately contacted by Ms. Bahm.
Ms. Bahm was very courteous and informative. I am a long time renter and first time home buyer, so needless to say, I was nervous. Especially since I was contacted by someone on the internet whom I didn't know. Ms. Bahm was an ultimate professional that listened carefully to my needs and gave me much needed advice on how to more effectively utilize my already busy schedule in setting up property viewings.
She kept me on schedule and organized the day around my needs and time constraints. During the viewings, she took care of getting the answers that I didn't know I even needed. I always felt secure that she had my best interest at heart. She was also careful to let me form my own opinions, but lend her experience to enable me to make calculated decisions. It was that personal attention accompanied by a lot of patience that made viewing these properties and ultimately choosing one in particular, easier on my conscience. Ms. Bahm handled herself extraordinarily well with not only the seller's realtor, development manager, my lender, and my lawyer.
At all times, I felt proud and reassured that Ms. Bahm was going to coordinate the purchase process and make sure that my own personal interests were always protected. It was that careful concern for her client that made the entire experience, a pleasant one.
Having finally closed on my condo just days ago, I feel relieved and satisfied that I made a great decision in using Dreamtown Realty to find a new home. Beverly showed us a dozen or so Lincoln Park/Lakeview properties before we hit on the unit we wanted. Beverly was patient, kind, NOT pushy, and of great value in terms of her insights; her experience and what to watch for and what to ignore. She guided us. We're not kids, either. We're 50 years old and have purchased real estate before--but never an in-town condo. Beverly stayed with us every step of the way. From the moment we signed the sales contract until the day we closed on the unit. One example of her service: I'm color blind. Actually, my eyesight isn't so hot anymore--period. During the walkthrough inspection, it was Beverly who spotted a scratch on the new hardwood flooring, a bit of discoloring on the kitchen cherry wood cabinets, and the fact that the cabinet doors didn't quite line up. I would have missed all three punch-list items. Beverly was right on top of them--for which we are grateful.

Bryn MawrWe would like to take this opportunity to formally recognize Thomas Okon for his hard work and dedication on our behalf. While the process did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, Tom did everything in his power to ensure the issues were resolved. Tom was very accommodating of our schedules and understanding of the fact that we were traveling between Chicago and Houston, TX to complete the deal. He answered all of our questions and concerns and was very prompt in returning phone calls and e-mails. He recommended attorney Jeffrey Evens and property inspector Alex Ratarac. Both of these gentlemen were true professionals and above reproach. We found the Chicago Buyer's Guide to be very informative and useful but would have liked to see some discussion about the unique (at least as far as we are concerned) features of the real estate process in Chicago. For example, we have previously purchased property in Texas and South Carolina without the use of an attorney by either the buyers or the sellers. As a result of these experiences we seriously considered foregoing an attorney for this transaction which would have been detrimental to us. To his credit, Tom persevered and convinced us of the value of having an attorney to act on our behalf. Throughout the process Tom dealt with us fairly, honestly, patiently and in our best interest.
