Over the course of several months during my search and successful property purchase I have worked with and got to know Elizabeth Amidon. During this time she has walked me through the mine field of buying a property in the US, as being from the UK where it is a very different process she has taken me through and explained how things are done in the US to aid both my understanding and to accustom me with the full aspects of what to look for in a property and the purchase process. Elizabeth explained very early on how things worked in the US with regard to what realtors do, and over the weekends we spent viewing properties, where she setup and assisted in my selection/viewing of properties, she got to know my tastes and what I was looking for, and this greatly helped me in removing those that would have been time wasters. We discussed many of the pros and cons for the kind of property I was looking for as we viewed properties and even when we found a property that I was clearly interested in and put an offer on she gave me sound advice on how to proceed and only a last minute bid from another buyer and the realization for what the property was worth stopped me from completing the sale. We continued on over the following few months, broken up by my business trips and holidays, then one weekend Elizabeth prepared some properties for me to view along with a couple I have requested, and as the day went on I found almost every property better than the previous and was definitely interested in each one that I saw, something that had never happened during any of the previous weekends viewings. We quickly arranged second viewings for 3 of the properties (I had a hard time setting the bar for which 3 I wanted to short-list) that I was interested in and she knew exactly which one I would say 'yes' to. During my actual purchase Elizabeth has been the main stay of explaining and orchestrating the various players to get both the necessary paperwork completed and following up with all concerned to ensure we kept on track when it seemed at times that no one else did. I would recommend her for a medal for putting up with me during this time as I asked for explanations and status updates from all concerned.
