I'm not going to lie...even with good credit and more than 20% down, buying a property (new construction!) today can be a total nightmare, and for us it was!!! Thanks god we had Bonnie. So much has changed in getting a mortgage today since I last purchased my former primary residence. My husband and I were ready to cancel the whole purchase and just rent.
