Chicago’s Green City Farmer’s Market Opens This Wednesday

The Green City Market re-opens its outdoor fruits and veggie stands this week to start up the 2009 season. Beginning Wednesday morning, local and organic farmers will sell their homegrown produce, flowers and other goods from the usual spot in the southeast corner of Lincoln Park. The market is one of Chicago’s most well-known and happens to be right down the street from Dream Town’s main office.

The market is every Wednesday and Saturday from 7am – 1pm (during the winter months it takes place at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, also located on Lincoln Park grounds). Enjoy a great selection of seasonal crops for reasonable prices, including lots of organically grown products and harvests from nearby farms.

Comments:

Love the market! Especially the cooking demonstrations. Thanks for the reminder. I'll need to get back there when I'm in Chicago this summer.
