Megan J. Stewart

Initially attracted to the real estate industry as an investor, Megan soon learned that the home buying process could be a complicated and complex one.  She became passionate about educating homebuyers on every step of the real estate process, from finding a good mortgage product to obtaining a thorough inspection to having a responsive attorney.

Having earned an economics degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she's committed to assisting men and women empower themselves through real estate.  Specifically, she advocates achieving freedom, building equity, taking advantage of tax benefits, and investing through homeownership.

Megan, and her dedication to preparing for a financially secure future, has been featured in Black Enterprise Magazine, and other local publications.

Prior to joining Dream Town, Megan worked as a senior account executive for a top public relations firm in Chicago.

As a Chicago native, she's committed to giving back to the community.  A portion of each commission she earns is donated to a not-for-profit organization.

  We worked with Megan for several months in 2007 to purchase a home near Jason's new job in southern Chicago while we were living in Nashville, TN. Eventually, with Megan's help, we found exactly what we were looking for in Evergreen Park. In April, after talking to a few different agents, we were quickly convinced that we wanted to work with Megan. Even while we were still in Nashville and only able to look at houses online, Megan's obvious willingness to help was entirely evident to us; she was always very prompt and informative in her communication with us. When we traveled to Chicago for 10 days to find our home-to-be, Megan's input was invaluable. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to truly listen to her clients. As she became more familiar with our own tastes, preferences, and priorities, she tailored the list of homes we were to visit during our limited time, a process aided by her extensive knowledge of the market and neighborhoods. Megan was also attentive to issues we might not have realized without her guidance, such as neighboring properties or the amount of closet space in a home.
  
  After we found the house we wanted to purchase (she probably knew by our reactions to seeing the home that we wanted to buy even before we had settled on that decision!), Megan worked with us and the selling agent to negotiate and draw up an appropriate sales contract. This turned out to be more difficult that any of us had anticipated, in part because we had to be back in Nashville during part of the process. Although the selling agent often seemed discourteous and unwilling to negotiate reasonably, Megan's impeccable professionalism and exceptional courtesy shone through, and she helped us arrive at terms we found satisfactory. We thank Megan for all the help in getting to the point of first-time homeowners and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking to purchase a home.

  Our buying experience with Megan Stewart of Dream Town was outstanding, from start to finish. It started with the Dream Town website. The site was very easy to navigate around and contained great information. We spent lots of time reviewing properties on the site to help us narrow our selection. The website was where we connected up with Megan. We can't say enough about Megan. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, helpful, honest and just fun to be with as we progressed through our purchase experience. We have bought many homes over the years, in different states, and I can honestly say Megan was the most thorough and responsive agent we have ever had.
